You ask your coworker if the meeting went well. "Fine," she says, already walking away. You follow her down the hallway asking what they discussed, what they decided, whether your project got approved. "Yep." You're now speed-walking behind her like a remora fish attached to a shark, desperately mining her monosyllables for actual information. Finally you ask if there's anything you need to do. She stops, turns around, and says, "Maybe," then disappears into a bathroom you're pretty sure she doesn't need to use.
