when you're trying to open a package and the plastic won't tear where it's supposed to, so you end up wrestling with it for way too long
I spent fifteen minutes fighting a sealed blister pack of batteries while my smoke alarm beeped overhead, dying. By the time I got it open, I'd forgotten why I needed them. The alarm is still beeping. I'm pretty sure the batteries won.
