You finally work up the courage to tell your therapist you're considering a major life change, and halfway through she nods, unlocks her phone, and starts scrolling. You keep talking. She keeps scrolling. Eventually you just say "...and then I joined the circus," and she goes "mm-hmm, that's valid." You're pretty sure she has no idea, but at least now you have permission to do it.
