when you're trying to tell someone something and they just keep looking at their phone the whole time
You're mid-sentence explaining why your weekend was actually terrible, and they nod at exactly the wrong moment—right when you said your car broke down, they look up and go "that's amazing," eyes already drifting back to their screen like it's a tractor beam. By the time you finish, they ask you to repeat the whole thing, except now it's just "my car broke down" and somehow that sounds like you're bragging.
